Select a clean vase and fill it with lukewarm water (ranunculus and a few others do prefer room temp water).
Add floral preservative to the water according to the package instructions.
Remove any leaves or foliage that will be submerged in the water to prevent bacterial growth.
Using sharp and clean scissors or a floral knife, cut the flower stems at a 45-degree angle.
Immediately place the freshly cut stems into the vase of water.
Arrange the flowers in the desired design, ensuring each stem has enough space and isn't overcrowded or pinched.
Keep the flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat sources.
Change the water every two to three days, or whenever it becomes cloudy or discolored some flowers are considered 'dirty' like Black-Eyed Susan's and daily water change can be helpful.
Trim the stems every few days, cutting them at a 45-degree angle to promote water absorption.
Remove any wilted or dead flowers from the arrangement to maintain its appearance. You can cut some of the blooms off or take the full stems out.
Consider placing the arrangement in a cool room overnight to extend the lifespan of the flowers.
Enjoy the beauty and fragrance of your fresh cut flowers for as long as possible!
